The Royal Standard

 

 

The Royal standard is the sovereign's personal flag, only to be flown above a building when he/she is actually present.

It is divided into quarters, the 1st and 4th containing the three lions 'passant' of England, the 2nd quarter containing the lion 'rampant' of Scotland and the 3rd quarter containing the harp of Ireland.
