CHURCHES of SUSSEX

Brass Rubbings of Sussex

Warbleton - Prestwick

Warbleton church has a very fine brass of William Prestwick, a priest in Hastings Castle.

It is seven foot long, and at the top of its canopy is a pelican feeding its young with its blood, the symbol of sacrifice.
