CHURCHES of SUSSEX
Amberley Monuments
Within lies Francis Derwent Wood, with a bronze panel above him copied from
a Pieta he made for All Saints Church at Ennismore Gardens in London.
There are bronze figures added at the sides.

A glorious blue window designed by Robert Anning Bell sits in a window made
over 800 years earlier in memory of his friend Edward Stott, R.A., who loved
Amberley and lived in it for thirty years.
He loved light and life and music, and above his grave is this charming
stone medallion of Orpheus with his lute; but he died in the dark days of
1918.
